Terms & Conditions

Terms & Conditions

These Terms & Conditions govern the contract between CK JOINERY CONTRACTORS LTD(referred to as “we”, “us”, “our”) and you (“client”, “you”) for all bespoke joinery, carpentry, fitting, renovation, and related services provided across the United Kingdom. By accepting our quotation, placing an order, or instructing us to carry out work, you agree to be bound by these terms.

1. Scope of Services

We provide custom joinery, carpentry, first fix, second fix, fitted furniture, staircases, flooring, door and window fitting, glass balustrades, partition walls, under-stair storage, garden rooms, and full property renovations for both residential and commercial clients. All work is completed in line with the specifications, designs, and measurements agreed in writing prior to work commencing.

2. Quotations & Orders

  • All quotations are valid for 30 days from the date of issue.
  • A quotation is not a binding contract until confirmed in writing and a deposit has been paid.
  • We reserve the right to adjust prices if material costs, site conditions, or project scope change significantly after the quotation is accepted.

3. Payment Terms

  • A deposit of [e.g. 30%–50%] of the total project value is required to confirm the order and start production or on-site work.
  • Further stage payments may be required for larger projects, as set out in your quotation.
  • Final payment must be made in full upon completion of works and before final sign-off.
  • Payments not received by the agreed date may result in delays to delivery or installation.

4. Lead Times & Completion

  • Timeframes for production, delivery, and installation are estimates only.
  • We will notify you of any delays as soon as reasonably possible.
  • We will not be liable for delays caused by unforeseen supply issues, weather, restricted site access, incomplete preparation, or changes requested by you.

5. Bespoke & Made-to-Measure Items

All custom joinery, fitted furniture, and made-to-measure products are produced specifically for your project.

  • Once production has started, these items cannot be cancelled, returned, or refunded unless faulty or not conforming to the agreed specification.
  • Minor variations in colour, grain, or finish may occur due to natural materials and manufacturing processes.

6. Site Access & Preparation

  • You must provide safe, clear access to the work area on the agreed date.
  • You are responsible for preparing the site (removing furniture, clearing space, ensuring utilities are available) unless otherwise agreed.
  • We will not be held liable for damage to personal belongings not removed prior to work starting.

7. Changes to Work

Any changes to design, materials, measurements, or scope after work has started will be treated as variations. We will provide a revised cost and timeline before carrying out additional work.

8. Quality, Defects & Aftercare

  • All workmanship is carried out to a professional standard.
  • Any defects or issues must be reported to us within 7 days of completion.
  • We will repair or replace defective work or materials at our cost where the issue arises from poor workmanship or faulty materials.
  • This does not cover damage caused by misuse, accidental damage, improper maintenance, or normal wear and tear.

9. Liability

  • Our total liability under any contract is limited to the total value of the works agreed.
  • We will not be liable for any indirect, consequential, or financial loss including loss of profit, business interruption, or inconvenience.
  • We maintain appropriate public liability insurance for all works undertaken.

10. Data Protection

We process personal data in accordance with UK GDPR and our Privacy Policy. Information you provide is used only for project delivery, communication, and administration.

11. Intellectual Property

All designs, drawings, and plans prepared by us remain our intellectual property unless explicitly transferred in writing. They may not be copied or used by third parties without our permission.

12. Governing Law

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

13. General

We reserve the right to update these terms at any time. The version in force at the date of your order applies to your project.
